Polish Border at Swiecko.

 

The River Oder was the actual border between Poland and East Germany, the Polish border station was just across the river from Frankfurt an der Oder at Swiecko. It was a much less grand affair than Marienborn. It was here that it really sank home that Ute was not just a hitch-hiker, when they allowed her to cross the border retaining her gun.
